Frequently Asked Questions
Below are some common questions about products.
The first difference, which could potentially affect the user experience, is the possibility of lingering odor from duck down.
The second difference is the availability of high fill power down. Since geese are in general physically larger than ducks, it is only possible to harvest a sufficient quantity of large down clusters from geese to produce high-end down at scale, goose down clusters are larger and loftier.

The down in our products is ethically sourced from many parts of world, including Canada, Europe and Asia. Some countries, such as Hungary and Poland, have a long tradition of down production, and the down from these countries is known for its premium quality. That said, we always assess the down quality based on lab testing results, regardless of its origin.
For more details, please refer to our “Product Guide” page.
Our down duvets and pillows, unless specifically indicated to be feather-added products, are filled with genuine down material, without the addition of other fill materials such as feathers or microfiber. It is important to note that we cannot claim to use 100% down, due to the presence of down filaments and small feathers, which are too small to be separated during the down sorting process. In fact, for the same reason, no one in the industry is allowed to state that a product is “All Down,” “Pure Down,” “100% Down,” or anything else of the sort.
For quality control and assurance, we mandate our down duvet/pillow manufacturer to test every batch of the down by IDFL, an internationally recognized certified laboratory. The down would typically consist of between 75% and 92% down clusters (the higher the fill power, the higher the cluster percentage), with the remaining material being loose fluffy filaments or soft, tiny feathers. These tiny feathers are different from the large feathers that are used in feather duvets or pillows.

The fabric of all our down products is designed and made to be down-proof. If any leakage occurs due to manufacturing defect, the down products are covered under manufacturer quality warranty - 15 years for down duvets and 6 years for down pillows.
Our baffle box down duvets are designed to prevent the down from shifting between the boxes. Using the duvet with the sew-in labels on the side would also help reduce the chance of down from shifting. However, shifting could still occur after prolonged usage. In this case, we would be happy to repair the duvet given that it is covered by our manufacturer quality warranty - 15 years for down duvets and 6 years for down pillows.
Our duvet shells are made with 100% cotton, which are soft to the touch and not prone to produce rustling noise. That said, the perception of noise can be very personal. If you are sensitive to fabric noise, we would recommend that you choose a higher thread count/ softer duvet cover. For instance, woven with very fine yarns (100s x 100s), choosing the ultra-soft 500TC fabric is the best bet to ensuring a quiet and comfortable sleep. For more information about various fabric selections, please refer to the “Thread Count” page in the “Resource Content” section.
Cotton duvet shells will wrinkle under normal use. The wrinkles do not affect the functionality or the durability of the duvet. We recommend the use of a duvet cover, which not only protects the duvet and enhances its longevity, but also addresses any concerns regarding the appearance of wrinkles.
The dimensions of the duvets and pillows stated in the product description refer to the respective shell sizes. In some cases, the actual dimension could differ by approximately 1-2 inches due to the tightening of fabric caused by sewing and the filling of down. In addition, washing of the cotton fabric could also cause a small shrinkage as well. Please refer to specific Care Instructions for proper product care.
Each duvet series comes with 3 fill weights to suit users with different warmth preferences. Down of a higher loft or a higher fill weight would provide more warmth. Please refer to the fill weight chart under each product for more detail. If you had a down duvet before, you could use it as a reference point to find a comparable duvet. If this is your first down duvet, feel free to contact us for recommendation.
Care instructions are provided on the product detail page. Please note that damages due to misuse will not be covered by warranty.
